Haiti Appeal After hearing about shelter boxes from Mrs Wilcock at assembly, all the pupils were keen to try to raise enough money to buy one. She told them that a box contained a tent big enough for 10 people. It included 10 sleeping bags, a cooker and enough equipment to support 10 people. Since one box costs £490 it was suggested that other schools in the cluster would be asked if they would like to help. The Global Committee came up with the idea of wearing odd socks and bringing a donation. Imagine our delight when we added up all the donations a fabulous, wonderful, generous total of £630!!!! Thank you very much. To date we have a total of £1440 from ourselves, Greenloaning, Braco and Crieff High. There are still more events planned by St Dominics and Braco. The Rotary club of Crieff will organise the purchase of the boxes. With the present total we will be able to supply 3 boxes. We will aso be able to track the boxes. Thank you so much for supporting this cause. We are a community that supports so many people regardless of where they live. |
NEWS FLASH Total £2,372.87 now raised - Comrie alone, up to £660.49 |
